Amica

Founded in 1907 in Providence, Rhode Island, the Automobile Mutual Insurance Co. of America (Amica) started by offering three coverages: auto, fire and theft. Roughly three decades later, Amica opened its first branch in Boston. In 1956, the insurer expanded its offerings to home, marine and personal liability excess coverage. In 2007 Amica celebrated its 100th anniversary. Today, Amica is headquartered in Lincoln, Rhode Island, and services 1.5 million policies as of December 2020. Amica operates in Washington, D.C., and all states except Hawaii.
